I spent some time going through local HOA websites to try to find one that should really be the standard. It was a close call, but I have to put them in this order. It was really close call on some of these, but I had to put the top three in the following order.
- The Villages of Woodland Springs. I have to admit, I wasn’t exactly sure where Woodland Springs was at first, but this Keller community has by far the best HOA site I have seen to date. It is well designed, with an active blog, and the FAQ resources are just outstanding.
- Fairmount Southside. The Newsletter resource really stands out on this site, everything is kept up to date and readily available. Extra points for the community garden. I honestly expected this to be a little more aesthetically pleasing than it was.
- Arlington Heights. This is a very attractive clean looking site that keeps in touch well with its membership. I would have rated it higher, but there is no access to a blog which I believe they have, and the newsletters are outdated.
The neighborhood site is a great tool that can be used to really add to your community. I suggest that all areas model themselves after one of these sites and do everything that you can to make your neighborhood stronger.
