We always count the ways in which we do like Fort Worth. Now we take a look at the top 10 reasons you should not move to Fort Worth.
- Several world-class museums with all star exhibits.
- Tangible heritage highlighted through venues such as the Stockyards.
- Noteworthy educational institutions from primary to post-doctoral levels. Including facilities for Autism and Down Syndrome.
- Award winning public dog park.
- A city Zoo only few other cities could compare themselves to.
- Incredible theatre arts and a growing film festival.
- Immaculate public trails for biking and walking.
- Proximity to international airports, and national sports leagues.
- Thriving arts festivals.
- A large city with a small city atmosphere.
Of course, this list is compiled in jest. Jest, tounge-in-cheek, and unfortunately cynicism are some of my top talents.

I am going on vacation. You should also. I mean it. I don’t want to see you here for at least another 3 or 4 days.
If you need something to do around Fort Worth check this out. Such wonderful things to do like:
- The Forest Park Miniature Train (I like being in confined spaces).
- Sundance Square (For the Emo/ Homeless/15 year old/ screaming religious zealot/ Asian tourist/ in all of us) (also good for random fist fights, I suggest the Library or City Streets).
- Stockyards (again, random fist fights).
- Log Cabin Village (has anyone ever actually been here?)

Aside from regurgitating old news on tenants in the West 7th development, the Business Press has a list of some locked down soon-to-comes. It reminds me of Dallas. Toni and Guy (gag), bar, bar, bar, and some decent restaurants.
I am glad that some new eateries are on the way. I often get tired of the same old places, and find myself wishing that Fort Worth had more to offer in the way of food. I think the list is growing, but it takes time. We just don’t have the selection like some other areas I can think of. But I probably eat out too much.

Let me tell you what we don’t need around here. A ski slope. But that is exactly what is being planned.
It’s an indoor artificial snow skiing facility, which will also include a luge track an ice climbing wall, and a bunch of other huballahoo. A luge track? Lacrosse has barely even caught on in Fort Worth. All taking place around Grapevine Mills Mall.
I seem to recall some talk of this several years ago. I thought it was supposed to be going up somewhere around Texas Motor Speedway though. I will be interested to see if this fancy idea actually gets off the ground.
